An official notification has been issued
by the Indian Air Force (IAF) regarding their recruitment drive on their
official website. The notification shares information for the recruitment process
of interested and eligible candidates to the post of Airmen under Group X and
Group Y trades. The registration procedure will be commenced by the IAF in an
online mode from 27 November, 2020 onwards. After the registration process is
commenced by IAF, aspiring candidates who are eligible will be required to send
in their applications regarding the IAF recruitment rally in an online mode at
the official website:airmenselection.cdac.in. Apart from this, aspirants are
allowed to apply for the position on or before the deadline which is 28
November, 2020 until 5 pm. The recruitment rally will be conducted by the Army
for male candidates who are not married. The recruitment rally is all set to be
held from 10 December, 2020 onwards till 19 December, 2020 at the places: New
Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bhopal, Bihar and Puducherry.
Interested candidates are also required
to fulfil the educational qualifications for various Trades, the details of
which are mentioned below.

Group X Trade:
Candidates are required to have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ an equivalent
examination with subjects Mathematics, Physics and English, having achieved
minimum marks of 50% in aggregate and 50% marks in English language. Or, the
candidate must have passed a three- year Diploma curse in Engineering (fields:
Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Mechanical/
Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a recognized
Government Polytechnic Institute, having achieved 50% overall marks in
aggregate and 50% marks in English language in a Diploma course. If English
language is not a subject in Diploma course, candidate must have 50% marks in
English in the Intermediate/ Matriculation examination.

Group Y Trade (Except
Auto Tech, IAF(P), IAF(S) & Musician Trades): Aspirants must have passed
Intermediate/ 10+2 or an equivalent examination in any discipline/ subjects
which have been approved by the Central or State Education Boards, having
achieved a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Class 12
or in an equivalent examination. Or, candidates must have passed a two-year
Vocational Course from Education Boards which have been listed as a member of
COBSE, having achieved a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in
English in the Vocational Course. If English is not included in Vocational,
candidate must have passed the same in the Intermediate/ Matriculation exam
with 50%.

Group Y (Non-Technical)
Medical Assistant Trade: Candidates are required to have passed Intermediate/
10+2/ Class 12 or an equivalent examination with subjects Physics, Chemistry,
Biology and English which have been approved by the Central or State Education
Boards, having achieved a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in
English in class 12 or in an equivalent examination.
