IIT Delhi Announces JEE Advanced 2020 Result, check for details

The much-awaited result of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced) for the year 2020 has finally been announced. On 5 October 2020, the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi released the results of anticipating candidates on their official website at following which candidates who had appeared for the JEE exam can visit the website in order to avail and check their results. Candidates who had appeared for the two papers for JEE: Paper 1 and Paper 2, will be considered for the ranks, the list of which will be created by the Institute based on the aggregate marks garnered by the candidate. The candidate's aggregate marks in JEE Advanced will be calculated by taking the sum of the marks that the candidate achieved in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. However, the rank list will include only candidates who have successfully scored the minimum marks criteria for each subject as well as for the aggregate. The mark criteria had been set up by the Institute accordingly, keeping the categories in mind.  

In order to gain access to the 2020 JEE Advanced results, the candidate who had appeared for the same is required to visit the website at and click on the link dedicated to the 2020 JEE Advanced result. Next, a new page will be displayed on the screen wherein the candidate is required to key in his/her important and mandatory credentials in an attempt to log in. The JEE Advanced result will then be displayed following which the candidate is suggested to get the same downloaded and printed for future use and reference. Now that the results have been announced, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will soon commence the admission procedure for admission to the 23 IITs.

This year, a total number of 1.6 lakh aspirants after successfully clearing the JEE Mains examination had got themselves registered for the prominent JEE Advanced examinations. Out of 1.6 lakh candidates, 96% aspirants had taken the JEE Advanced examination for 2020 which was conducted on 27 September, 2020 at different examination centres located across the country. JEE Advanced exam was held in two shifts: first shift started at 9 am and ended at 12 noon while the second shift commenced at 2:30 pm and ended at 5:30 pm. Out of a total number of 1,50,838 candidates who appeared for JEE Mains as well as JEE Advanced, 43,204 candidates successfully cleared JEE. Achieving 352 out of 396 marks, Chirag Falor from IIT Bombay circle stood out as the topper, while Kanishka Mittal from IIT Roorkee circle obtained 315 out of 396 marks, emerging as the highest ranked female with a Common Rank List of 17.
