The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) recruitments for the year 2021 is still in progress, however, the Board is scheduled to end the registration process on 16 January, 2021. The Board had commenced their recruitment drive for various District/ Divisional/ UT Cadre posts in different departments under the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services provisions. For the same, interested and eligible candidates were required to get themselves registered in an online mode until 16 January, 2021 which is the deadline. Interested and eligible candidates who have not yet registered for the JKSSB 2021 recruitments are required to visit the official website at jkssb.nic.in in order to apply for various posts in an online mode.
The Board is conducting the recruitment drive for the year 2021 in order to fill a total of 1700 vacancies. Out of the 1700 vacancies that have been announced, 1246 vacancies are reserved for Finance, 144 vacancies are reserved for Transport, 137 are reserved for Election, 79 vacancies for Culture, 78 for Labour & Employment and 16 vacancies are reserved for Tribal Affairs.
Apart from this, candidates are also required to pay an amount of Rs 350 as mandatory application fee. Candidates can make the payment in an online mode. It has to be kept in mind that candidates can pay through the following: Net Banking, Credit or Debit cards.
An official notice regarding the 2021 recruitments has also been released by the Board. The notice provides complete details and information regarding the Examination pattern. The recruitment examination will include questions which are Objective Type and Multiple-Choice Questions in nature. Candidates are to keep in mind that the questions will only be in English language. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will also be applicable for every incorrect attempt marked by the candidate. It has also been informed that the tentative Answer Keys will be released on the official website of the JKSSB at jkssb.nic.in in due course after the Examination is conducted. The Board will scrutinize the representations regarding the Answer Keys that the Board will receive from candidates within the time limit that has been fixed by the Board during the uploading of the Answer Keys. It has also been mentioned that the decision taken by the Board regarding the same will be final. However, the Board will not entertain and consider the representations regarding the Answer Keys which are received at a later date. If required, the Board will normalize the marks scored by the candidates in the written test in order to determine the final merit as well as the cut-off marks.
