UPSC Civil Services Examination
The Union Public Service Commission
(UPSC) includes Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service
(IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). Selection is made in three phases -
preliminary examination, main examination and an interview. Age limit is 21 to
32 years with relaxations for candidates from other categories. Number of
attempts for General category candidates are 6, 9 for OBC category and
unlimited attempts for candidates from SC, ST category.

SBI PO Examination
State Bank of India commences a recruitment drive for the post of Probationary Officers (PO). Selection process includes a preliminary examination, main examination, group discussion and interview. Candidate must be within the age of 21 and 30 years. Number of attempts for General category candidates are 4, 7 for OBC and unlimited for SC and ST.
SSC CGL Examination
The Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination to recruit eligible candidates in Grade B and Grade C category posts. Selection happens online according to the four-tier system wherein tier I and II are computer-based exams and tier III and IV include a descriptive examination, computer proficiency test. Age limit is 18 to 32 years.
IBPS PO Examination
The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection conducts a recruitment drive for posts of Probationary Officer (PO). The selection process has three stages: Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and Interview. Eligible candidate must be 21-30 years of age with relaxations.

RBI Grade B Examination
Reserve Bank of India conducts a recruitment drive for Grade B Officers. For selection, candidates have to appear for a three-phase process. Phase I consists of a test including General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. Phase II is an online descriptive and objective exam. Phase III is an interview. Age limit is set within 21 and 30 years.
LIC AAO Examination
Life Insurance Corporation conducts an examination for recruitment to the post-Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO). Examinations are conducted in three phases: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview. Eligible applicants must be within 21 and 30 years of age, however, there are relaxations for candidates from other categories.
SBI Clerk Examination
State Bank of India conducts examination for a post of Clerk also known as Junior Associate. Eligible candidate should be between 21-28 years however, relaxations are present for candidates from other categories. Selection will be made after a candidate clears the Online Preliminary Examination, Online Maine Exam, Language Proficiency Test.
SSC CPO
Staff Selection Commission carries out
recruitment for various posts of Central Police Organisation (CPO). The
selection procedure consists of four stages: Objective Exam, Physical Exam
(PST/PET), Paper-II written exam and a Medical Exam. Candidate must be between
20 to 25 years of age.
SSC JE
Staff Selection Commission commences a recruitment drive for various posts of Junior Engineer (JE). An examination is conducted in two phases: Paper I and Paper II. Candidate must be 18 years to 30/32 years of age.
RRB JE
Railway Recruitment Board commences a recruitment drive for recruitment to various posts of Junior Engineer (JE). Eligible candidate must be within the age group 18 to 33 years. Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of two examinations: Computer Based Test 1 and 2 after which there will be a document verification process.
RRB ALP
Railway Recruitment Board conducts an examination process for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP). A candidate's minimum age for application is 18 years and maximum age is 28 years. Selection of the applicant will be made on the basis of First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Second Stage CBT after which a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) will be conducted.
SSC CHSL
Staff Selection Commission- Combined Higher Secondary Level (SSC CHSL) is an examination conducted by SSC to recruit applicants for various posts and positions in government departments and offices. The age limit is 18 years to 27 years. Examinations for selection are conducted in two tiers: Tier-1 and Tier-2 exam.
IBPS RRB
The Institute of Banking Personnel conducts examinations to recruit eligible candidates to various posts for Regional Rural Banks (RRB). The minimum age limit of candidate is 18 years and maximum age is 28 years of age, however, there are relaxations for candidates from other categories. The selection process includes a Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and an Interview.
SSC MTS
Staff Selection Commission- Multi Tasking Staff (SSC MTS) is an examination conducted by SSC to recruit applicants for various posts and positions in various Government departments and offices. Age limit is 18-25 years with relaxation for other categories. The selection process has three levels: Paper 1, Paper 2 which is descriptive and Paper 3 which is a Skill based test.
UPSC CAPF
Union Public Service Commission
conducts a Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) examination to recruit candidates
for various security force posts: Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve
Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan
Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). A candidate is assessed
through a written examination, a physical test and a personal interview. Age
limit is 20 to 25 years with relaxations for other categories.
SSC Grade C and Grade D
Stenographer
Staff Selection Commission conducts a recruitment drive to recruit candidates for Stenographer Grade C and Grade D. The candidate must fit within the age group 18-30 years for Grade C exam and 18-27 years for Grade D exam. The examination for selection is conducted in two phases: Computer Based Test which is objective and a Stenography Skill Test.
Defence Examinations
Defence Examinations are conducted to recruit eligible and aspiring candidates for various posts in armed forces: Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard. For Army the examination conducted is National Defence Academy Exam (NDA) which includes written exam, interviews and medical test (age limit: 19 and half years). For Navy the exam is Naval Academy (NA) which has a test and an interview (unmarried candidates). For Air Force the exam conducted is Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) including an AFCAT test and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) (age limit: 20-26). Indian Coast Guard also conducts examination which includes a written test, fitness test and a medical exam (age limit: 18-22 years with relaxation).
