Punjab School Education Department Recruitments 2020, check details

The School Education Department of Punjab has decided to commence their recruitment drive for the year 2020. Interested and eligible candidates willing to grab an opportunity of working as pre-primary Teachers in schools of Punjab will be able to apply for the same once the application process begins. The recruitment Board regarding the same is all set to commence the application process for the post of pre-primary Teachers in an online mode from 1 December, 2020. The deadline for the same has been set as 20 December, 2020 following which aspirants can apply on or before the last-mentioned date.

The Punjab School Education Department has announced a total of 8393 vacancies for the post of pre-primary Teachers. Out of the 8393 posts, 3273 posts are for General, 840 for Scheduled Castes (M&B), 839 for Scheduled Castes (R&O), 168 for Scheduled Castes (Ex-Servicemen M&B), 168 for Scheduled Castes (Ex-Servicemen R&O), 42 for Scheduled Castes (Sports M&B), 42 for Scheduled Castes (Sports R&O), 839 for Backward Classes, 168 for Backward Classes (Ex-Servicemen), 167 for Sportsperson (General), 84 for Freedom Fighters, 588 forEx-Servicemen (General), 84 vacancies each for categories: Handicapped (Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, Orthopedically Disabled and Intellectually Disabled or Multiple Disability) and 839 for Economically Weaker Section of the General Category. 

Interested and eligible candidates are also required to fulfil the eligibility criteria that has been specified. Aspirants are required to have qualified the class 12 examination or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks. Apart from this, candidates must also possess a Diploma course of a minimum duration of one year in a Nursery Teacher Education Programme or an equivalent course. It is also required for the candidates to have qualified the class 10 examination with Punjabi being one of the subjects.Eligible candidates are also required to fit the age eligibility criteria of being within 18 to 37 years of age, with 18 years being the minimum age limit and 37 being the maximum. Aspirants on the other hand are also required to pay the mandatory application fee. The application fee for candidates belonging to the General category and other categories are required to pay an amount of Rs 1000. Candidates from the categories: Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) are required to pay only Rs 500 as application fee.
