The State Bank of India (SBI) has called for applications regarding their recruitment drive for the year 2020. The Bank has invited applications in an online mode from interested and eligible candidates for the post of Apprentices. SBI has announced a total of 8500 vacancies for the post of Apprentices in different zones across the country. Candidates aspiring for the position are required to visit the official website of SBI at sbi.co.in and apply for the same in an online mode. However, it is required for the candidates to apply for the position between 20 November, 2020 and 10 December, 2020. The Bank is speculated to conduct the examination regarding the recruitment process next year, 2021 in the month of January.
Aspiring candidates are also required to fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the Bank regarding the post of Apprentices. Candidates are required to fulfil the educational qualification of having completed their Graduation from a recognized University or Institute before the date 31 October, 2020. A certain age limit has also been set by SBI. Candidates must be between the age group of 20 years (minimum age) and 28 years (maximum age) as on 31 October, 2020 which means that candidates should not have been born before 1 November, 1992 and neither after 31 October, 2000 (both the dates are inclusive). The maximum age of 28 years has been specified by the Bank for candidates belonging to the categories: Unreserved and Economically Weaker Section (EWS). However, certain relaxations in the maximum upper age limit have been provided for candidates belonging to the categories: Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disability (PWD). The relaxations provided are applicable according to the guidelines issued by the Government of India.
