The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a new list regarding the names of candidates who have received recommendation from the Reserve list regarding the 2019 Civil Services Main Examination. On Monday, the Commission through their new list announced the names of 89 more candidates who have been recommended for the 2019 Examination. In order to check the list, candidates are required to visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in where the list has been released.
The result regarding the 2019 Civil Services Main Examination was announced by the Commission on 4 August, 2020. In the initial list, a total of 892 candidates were recommended in Order of their Merit towards the recruitment drive conducted by the Commission for a total of 927 vacancies. The 892 candidates were recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services - Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
An official notice sought by the Department of Personnel & Training has also been released by the Commission regarding the matter. The notice informs that the Union Public Service Commission has again recommended 89 candidates in order to fill the available and remaining positions on the basis of the 2019 Civil Services Examination. Out of the 89 candidates announced, 73 candidates belong to the General category, 14 are from the Other Backward Class (OBC) category, 1 candidate from Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category and 1 candidate belongs to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category. The notice also includes the details and particulars of the 89 candidates. Apart from this, the notice also mentions that the recommended candidates will be intimated by the Department of Personnel & Training directly.
The Commission has announced their new list however, out of the candidates recommended, the candidature of four candidates with Roll Numbers: 0404736, 0835241, 2100323 and 6603686 are provisional, while the result of one candidate has still been held back.
