IBPS PO 2020 - Institute for Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for the recruitment of Probationary officers (PO) conducts the IBPS PO exam in various public-sector banks in India. The examination for IBPS is conducted in online mode, which has two stages namely IBPS PO Preliminary Exam and IBPS PO Mains Exam followed by an interview round.

The Preliminary exam for IBPS PO 2020 is expected to be conducted in October 2020 while the Mains exam will be conducted in November 2020. There is a single application form for all the stages of the IBPS PO 2020 exam for which the online registration window will open in July 2020.

Students who qualify for the prelims exam will appear for the mains exam. After which the qualified candidates will be called for a personal interview round which would carry 100 marks. The final selection of the candidate will be based on the performance in the mains and the interview round.

Citizen of India

The subject of Nepal or Bhutan

Tibetan refugee who is permanently settled in India prior to January 1, 1962

Person of Indian origin who has migrated from either Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of residing permanently in India.

Academic Qualification
The candidate must be graduate or possess an equivalent degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks for the general category while it is 5% relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Age Limit

20 years – 30 years as on August 1, 2020, along with relaxation for reserved categories as given below:

Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC) - 5 years

Other Backward Classes- Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) - 3 years

Persons with Disability (PWD) - 10 years

Ex-Servicemen – 5 years

IBPS PO Application Form 2020

The Online Application Form for IBPS PO 2020 will be available in July 2020. It is a three-step procedure explained in detail below:

Step 1: Registration – Candidate must register them by filling in basic details and valid email id and mobile number. It will generate a provisional registration number and password. The same will also be sent to the registered mail id.

Step 2: Filling Details and Upload Documents -Candidates are required to fill in all the requisite details, upload their photograph and signature and documents as per the specifications

Step 3: Fee Payment – Candidates must pay the application fee as mentioned in the online mode such as Debit / Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.

On successful completion of these steps, an e-receipt for fee payment will be generated which must be printed along with the application form.

The application fee for the general category is Rs. 600 while that for SC/ ST / PWD candidates it is Rs. 100.

IBPS PO Admit Card 2020

The Admit Cards for different rounds of IBPS PO exam will be issued to the candidates in online mode only. The information about the release will also be intimated to the candidates via email or SMS. Candidates can easily download their IBPS PO hall ticket by entering the login credentials. The call letter will mention the exam schedule, venue along with the candidate’s personal detail. A candidate must carry the IBPS PO admit card along with a valid photo- id proof to the exam center without which they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2020

The IBPS PO 2020 is a computer-based examination (CBT).

The IBPS PO Prelims exam consists of objective type questions that need to be attempted in 1 hour by the candidates.  The medium of the exam is English and Hindi.

Mains Exam

Candidates qualifying the Cut Off score in the Prelims exam as specified by IBPS will proceed to the Mains Exam. The IBPS PO Mains exam is divided into 5 sections consisting of 200 questions which are required to be answered in three and a half hours.

IBPS PO Pre-Exam Training

The candidates belonging to reserved categories have provisions to avail of a special training process organized by the Nodal Banks or Banks participating in IBPS PO before the commencement of the exam. The IBPS PO Pre-exam training is conducted free of cost, wherein the candidates who have successfully registered are introduced to the exam pattern and are given helpful tips & tricks to crack the exam by experts and institutes. This pre-training camp also enlightens the candidates about the recruitment process. The training camp lasts for 5 days which is required to be filled in by the candidates at the time of filling the application form.

IBPS PO Result 2020

The result of IBPS PO 2020 will be declared separately for each stage. The candidates successfully meeting the prelims cut off will appear for the mains exam. Thereafter the selected candidates will appear in the interview round. The final marks are calculated on the basis of marks scored in mains and interview round in the ratio of 80:20. Candidates can download the scorecard of every stage by entering their login credentials.
