SSC JE Online Application Form
The application form will be available
on the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in. The application procedure that
will be conducted online requires candidates to carefully fill up the form.

Application Fee: Candidates belonging
to the categories: General, Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Weaker
Sections (EWS) have to pay a mandatory fee amount of Rs 100, while women
candidates and candidates belonging to the reserved categories: Scheduled Caste
(SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PWD) are not required to
pay an application fee.
SSC JE Notification
The notification regarding the 2021 SSC
JE has not been released until now however, the notification regarding the SSC
JE examination dates, examination pattern, syllabus and other information will
be issued by SSC on their official website.
SSC JE Exam Date
The SSC JE examination date for the
year 2021 has not been finalised until now. It is speculated that the SSC JE
2020 examinations will commence in the month of October, 2020 following which
the SSC JE 2021 examination might be held around the same time next year.
SSC JE Eligibility Criteria
Before beginning the application
process, the candidates are suggested to confirm their eligibility to the post.
Nationality: Candidate must be an
Indian. Citizens of Bhutan, Nepal and Tibet can also apply provided that they
have been a permanent resident of India before 1st January, 1962. Apart from
this, Indian origin candidates, migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kenya,
Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Myanmar, etc are also allowed to apply.
Educational Qualification: An eligible
candidate is required to have a BE or a B.Tech. Degree in the respective
discipline that he/she is applying for, from a recognized university/
institute.
Age Limit: The age of the candidate
aiming for the Civil, Mechanical, Quality, Surveying Contract Engineer branch
must be between 18 to 27 years while age of candidates aiming for CPWD and
Central Water Commission must not be more than 32 years. Age of applicant
aiming for JE, MES and CWPRS must be less than 30 years.

SSC JE Examination Pattern
The SSC JE Examination pattern consists
of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1:
The exam will consist of objective type questions which will be conducted in an
online mode. Paper 1 will include 200 questions which will carry 200 marks.
Apart from this, the examination will be available both in Hindi and in
English. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for every wrong
attempt. Paper 1 will be divided into 3 sections: Part A - General Intelligence
and Reasoning, Part B - General Awareness and Part C - General Engineering
(Civil and Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
for which candidates are required to choose one topic that they have applied
for.
Paper 2:
Candidates who clear Paper 1 will be required to appear for Paper 2. The exam
will consist of written, descriptive questions. Paper 2 will consist of questions
which will carry 300 marks. Like Paper 1, negative marking will be applicable
in Paper 2 as well. Paper 2 also includes 3 parts: Part A, Part B and Part C.
The candidate is required to answer questions from one part for which he/she
has applied. Part A will consist of questions regarding General Engineering for
Civil and Structural, Part B will include questions regarding General
Engineering for Electrical and Part C will include questions regarding General
Engineering for Mechanical.

SSC JE Admit Card
The Admit Card regarding SSC JE 2021
will be issued by SSC on their official website around 15-20 days prior to the
commencement of the examination. The candidate will be able to download the admit
card by visiting the website after which he/she must get it printed and
downloaded. It is mandatory for a candidate to carry the admit card to the
respective exam centre.
SSC JE Cut Off
A certain cut-off is set by the State
Selection Commission for the candidate to achieve in order to get chosen.
Usually, the cut-offs are different for applicants from different categories.
SSC JE Result
The SSC JE Result will be declared by
the State Selection Commission at the official website of SSC. The results will
be announced after successful completion of Paper 1 after which the result will
again be declared by SSC after completion of Paper 2.

The details and information regarding
the vacancies will be issued by the State Selection Commission. The number of
vacancies will be divided among all the candidates belonging to different

The selection process of candidates
aspiring for SSC JE will be based on two Papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidate
has to initially appear for Paper 1, passing which will allow him/ her to

SSC JE 2020 Exam Analysis
The examination consists of two papers,
one including objective type questions and the second consisting of descriptive
type questions. While the difficulty level of questions in Paper 1 is moderate,
the questions in Paper 2 are slightly moderate and difficult with a few
questions being tough.

As per the salary in 2019, the pay
scale for Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Junior
Engineer (Electrical), Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical, Junior
