The Staff Selection
Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of the post of Stenographer Grade C and
Stenographer Grade D conducts SSC Stenograph exam in India. The examination for
SSC Stenographer is conducted in online mode.
The exam for Stenographer
2020 is expected to be conducted in 1st week of September 2020. There is a
single application form for SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 exam for which the online
registration window will open in 3rd week of June 2020.

SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Application
Form
The Online Application Form
for SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 will be available in 3rd week of June 2020. It is a three step procedure explained in detail below:
Step 1: Registration – Visit
the official website of UPSC and search for the link, ‘Apply online for S.O.
(Section Officer)/Steno (GD-B/GD-I) – 2020’
Candidate must register them
by filling in basic details and valid email id and mobile number. It will
generate a provisional registration number and password. The same will also be
sent to the registered mail id.
Step 2: Filling Details and
Upload Documents -Candidates are required to fill in all the requisite details,
upload their photograph and signature and documents as per the specifications.
Step 3: Fee Payment- In order to complete the application process,
candidates have to make the fee payment of Rs. 100. All women candidates,
SC/ST/PH candidate and Ex-servicemen are exempted from application fee.
Payment can be made via Bank Challan, Net Banking or through Debit/Credit Card.
Fee submitted once, will not be refunded in any case.
SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Admit Card
The
Admit Card for SSC Stenographer exam will be issued to the candidates on the
website for a commission. The information about the release will also be intimated to the candidates
via Email or SMS. Candidates can easily download their IBPS PO hall ticket by
entering the login credentials.
The candidates should carry
a printout of the admit card to the exam center. The candidates in the absence
of a valid admit card will be debarred from giving the exam.
SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Exam
Pattern
The SSC Stenographer 2020 is
a computer-based test (CBT).
The SSC Stenographer
consists of objective type questions which need to be attempted in 2 hours by
the candidates. The medium of the exam is in English and Hindi.

Ø Marking Scheme - There will
be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong response.
Skill Test-

Candidates who qualify the written examination will then appear for the stenography test.

Candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English/Hindi with
the speed of

80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade “D”.

100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade “C”

The matter will have to be transcribed on the computer only. The the transcription time is as follows:

For the Grade D post – 50 minutes for English;
65 minutes for Hindi

For the Grade C post – 40 minutes for English

SSC STENOGRAPHER 2020 Result
The result of the SSC Stenographer
2020 will be announced on the official website. The candidates who qualify the computer-based test will then appear for the stenography
test. Those who clear both computer-based and skill test will be considered for
the selection for the post of Stenographer. Allotment of the department will be
completed on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in CBT and the
choices made by them.
