The Uttar Pradesh Police conduct the Sub-Inspectors exam for the
recruitment of Police Sub-Inspectors in the UP Police Department. This exam is
held for the recruitment for the posts of Police Sub-Inspectors (SI) - Male
& Female in UP Police. The examination for Uttar Pradesh SI is conducted in
online mode, which has a PET test after followed by a Document Verification &
Physical Measurement Test (PMT).

UP POLICE SI 2020 Application Form
The Application form for a UP Police SI Recruitment 2020 exam will be
conducted online and will be released on the official website.
Candidates need to visit the official website and click on ‘New
Registration’.
Candidates need to provide their basic information to register. They will
be receiving a provisional registration number and a system-generated password.
Candidates are prescribed to fill up the application form carefully, by
giving the requisite details & click on “Save and Next” after verifying
details in each section.
Upload one's scanned photograph and signature as per the specifications.
Completion of payment of the Online Application fee needs to be done along
with the printout of the e-receipt and for future reference.
The application fee for the general category as well as for SC/ ST / PWD
candidates is Rs. 400
UP POLICE SI 2020 Admit Card
The Admit Cards for UP SI Exams are released just a couple of weeks before
the Exam. The Admit Cards for UP SI exam will be issued to the candidates in
online mode only on their official website. The official release notification
will also be initiated to the candidates via email or SMS. Any candidate
without admit card and with a valid photo- id proof will not be allowed to
enter the examination center.
UP POLICE SI 2020 Exam Pattern
The selection of UP Police SI takes place in 3 stages as follows:

The UP Police SI is a computer-based examination (CBT).
The UP SI exam consists of objective type questions that need to be
attempted in 2 hours by the candidates. The medium of the exam will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.

Marking Scheme: Each question carries 2.5 marks. No mention of negative
marking scheme in the official notification.

After qualifying PET, candidates have to appear for Document Verification &

will be selected in the final merit list as Uttar Pradesh Sub Inspector.
