UP PCS

UP PCS 2020 Recruitment - Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has already released notification on the various vacancies in provincial civil services (PCS). If an aspirant wishes to be a civil servant, he can apply for the Post under the UPPSC examination. This examination is being conducted every year to select the appropriate candidate for the Civil Service. This examination is aimed at appointing. the number of candidates in various departments under the state government of Uttar Pradesh. The prelims examination will be scheduled to be held in the month of August 2020. The candidates must fill the application form before the last date of the submission. Vacancies are noted updated on the website up to now, but the vacancies can be updated very soon by the exam connecting authority.


UP PCS Important Dates and Events 

The important dates and events are released by UPPSC on that official website.  According to that, the online application process starts from 1st of July 2020 and the online application process for the main examination will be updated later. The candidate must pay the application fee within the first week of August 2020 and the main examination will be updated later. The application forms submitted for the prelims examination will be closed from the first week of August 2020 and the mains will be updated later. The admit card for the examination which is a very important document will be published on the website for the prelims examination in the first week of August 2020 and the mains examination admit card release date will be published later.  The written examination of UPPSC  2020 will be conducted by the authority in the third week of August 2020. These are only the dates regarding the prelims examination and all important dates for the main examination will be updated later.


UP PCS Application Form 2020

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will be releasing the application form for the examination in the online mode and the candidates can visit the official website of UPPSC in up.nic. in. The application form can be downloaded by entering the required details such as the name of the candidate, the address, a valid email ID phone number. The candidate must also update a scanned photograph and signature in the application form in the prescribed size and the required application fee is to be paid using online payment through debit card or credit card, net banking and the aspirant can takeout a printout of the application form and save the registration number and password generator online.


UP PCS Admit Card 2020

An admit card is the most important document that a student must have with him as he enters the examination hall. The Recruitment exam will be done after presenting this admit card.  The candidate will have the possibility of downloading that admit card from the official website using the application number and date of birth provided in the application form. The admit card will be provided to the candidate on the website prior to the examination. The candidates are expected to take a printout of this to admit card and keep it safe. Admit card will include all the important details like the name of the candidate, address the time and schedule of examination, the center allotted to the candidate.


UP PCS Application Fee 2020

All the applicants belonging to the unreserved and OBC category must pay the exam fees RS. 100 together with 25 rupees as online processing fees but the candidates belonging to the SC or ST need to pay only the Rs.  40 as the exam fee and rupees 25 as an online processing fee. Physically handicapped candidates need not pay any amount as the exam fee, but they must also pay 25 rupees as the online processing free. Dependents of freedom fighters according to the original category Fighters ex-serviceman or woman need not pay any amount.


UP PCS Eligibility Criteria 2020

An aspirant who applies for the examination should be a citizen of India with the age limit of 21 years to 40 years. The exam conducting authority has already prescribed certain educational qualifications for the candidate who apply for the post under UPPSC candidates must have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university or equivalent educational qualification up to the last date of the receipt of the application.  The educational qualifications should be clearly mentioned in the relevant column of their application form when they are filling up it. If the candidate applies for a registrar assistant prosecuting officer, he must have a graduation in law. Associate DIOS and Current administrative post, district administrative officer must have the educational qualification postgraduate degree. A district audit Officer post requires a graduation in Commerce and assistant controller or legal measurement grade 1 and grade 2 must have a degree in science with physics or mechanical engineering as one subject. Assistant director of industries marketing and handloom require PG degree in art science or commerce or technology or PG degree in textile Industries from any recognized Institute for minimum graduation in textile technology.  To become the assistant labor commissioner candidate must have a degree in arts with sociology or economics as a subject or commerce or law.


UP PCS Examination Pattern 2020

The exam is divided into 3 categories the preliminary examination, mains exam and the interview round. If the candidate is able to score a good mark in the preliminary examination that candidate will be promoted to the next step that is the mains examination. Preliminary consists of two papers and it will objective type in nature. There is a negative marking in the exam. If the candidate enters any wrong answer in the answer sheet 1/3 of the mark will be deducted from the total mark of a particular question. Civil service aptitude test one of the important parts of this preliminary exam will have 80 questions carrying 200 marks with a duration of two hours. The topic of the general study will have 100 questions carrying 200 marks with the same duration of time. The main examination consists of four papers of general study and each topic will have a total of 200 marks with a grand total of 800 marks. There will be an optional subject carrying 400 marks and general Hindi getting 150 marks.


UPPSC PCS Interview Preparation 2020

There will be an interview conducted by the exam conducting authority that carries 100marks.  The total marks including the interview will be 1600 marks. There is no such specific pattern and syllabus for the interview.  Candidate must be aware of their surroundings state and should have a knowledge of contemporary issues that are happening around in national as well as international level. There should be an open discussion from the part of the candidate with the interview board.


UP PCS Syllabus 2020

The syllabus of the exam includes two papers of general studies, Elementary mathematics which is up to 10th class level, general English and Hindi. Paper 1 of  general studies will have the topics like current events of national and international importance, history of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and world geography, physical social-economic geography of India and the world issues on environmental ecology, biodiversity and climate change  that do not require subject-specific, the polity and governance  of India and the Paper II  is based on general English up to 10th class level and Hindi up to 10th level,  comprehension, interpersonal skills including communication skills, decision-making and problem solving. Elementary mathematics includes topics like arithmetic, algebra, geometry. There will be a topic essential English that will include active and passive voice, parts of speech, vocabulary and usage, idioms and phrases, the transformation of sentences, direct and indirect speech, punctuation and spelling and meanings and fill in the blanks.


UP PCS Cut off 2020

The cut-off mark is the minimum mark that a candidate should get to be selected for the post-PCS. If the candidate is not able to get the cut-off mark prescribed for the preliminary examination that the candidate will not be able to attend the main examination. If the candidate is able to score the cut-off mark in both prelims and mains examination, he will be called for the interview. The notification of the cut-off mark will be released on the official website of UPPSC. These cut-off marks are crucial for the candidate as it is the deciding factor of the candidate’s future. 


UP PCS Result 2020

The result of the preliminary examination will be disclosed after the commencement of the examination and those candidates who successfully qualify the preliminary examination will be eligible to apply and prepare for the main examination which will be held prior to the interview. The candidates will get the final result of the main examination and interview on the website and it can be downloaded and taken in the form of a print out by the candidate. If any mistake is found that should be reported to the exam conducting authority.
