Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Staff Selection Commission Combined High School Level (10+ 2)’ exam for the recruitment of various posts such as- Postal Assistants, Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators, Lower Divisional Clerks, Court Clerk. The SSC CHSL exam is conducted online, which has three stages namely SSC CHSL Tier I and Tier II exam that will be conducted as a pen and paper test followed by typing/skill test.

The Preliminary (Tier I) exam for is expected to be conducted in March 2020 while the Tier II exam will be conducted in September 2020. There is a single application form for all the stages of the SSC CHSL 2020 exam for which the online registration will commence in March 2020.

Candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be eligible for the mains exam. Furthermore, the qualified candidates will then be followed by the skill test. The final selection of the candidate will be based on the performance on the Tier I exam which will help in the preparation of the merit list.

SSC CHSL 2020 Application Form

SSC CHSL Exam registration is only through online mode. Therefore, candidates need to make sure not to delay the application process. Following are the below-mentioned steps to fill in the application form:

·         Candidates can register by visiting the SSC official website and click on the Registration Tab.

·         Candidates ought to fill in the basic details as per requirements and to provide the active email id and a mobile number for all the information till the declaration of results.

·         Candidates should keep a scanned photograph and signature ready as per specifications mentioned in the official notification.

·         Payment of the Application fee is must online use Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/Cash Cards/Wallets, etc.

·         Take the print out of the Application Form along with e-receipt that is generated for future reference.

The application fee for general category is Rs.100 while the SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen along with female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.


SSC CHSL 2020 Admit Card       

The Admit Cards for different stages of the SSC CHSL exam will be released on the official website in online mode only. The notification about the release will also be given to the candidates via email or SMS. Candidates can easily download their IBPS PO hall ticket by entering the login credentials. Admit card is essential along with a valid photo- id proof to the examination center without which candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination center.


SSC CHSL 2020 Exam Pattern

 The examination comprises of three Tiers of exams:

·         Computer-based Written Examination (Tier -I)

·         Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and

·         Typing Test/Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination for the various posts of Data Entry Operator, Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA), Lower Division Clerk and Court Clerk

Tier I exam is an objective type question which needs to be attempted by the candidates in one hour.

The medium of the exam is bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.

Besides the Prelims, the Tier II exam will be a descriptive paper as in Pen and Paper Mode. The duration of the exam would be for one hour (20 minutes extra will be given for candidates with VH/OH afflicted by Cerebral Palsy, OH with a deformity in writing hand). The paper comprises of the writing of an essay of 200 -250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.

The minimum qualifying marks in the Tier-II exam is 33 percent.

The performance in Tier-II exam would be included in the preparation of the merit list.

The Tier III exam of SSC CHSL will be a Skill Test/Typing Test. The final merit of the successfully qualifying candidates would be prepared based on the total score obtained by candidates in Tier-I and Tier-II exam consecutively.

SSC CHSL 2020 Result

SSC CHSL 2020 result will be declared separately for each tier exam on the official website. The result can be accessed by the candidates by entering their login credentials on the official website or regional SSC website. It is necessary to qualify the Tier I exam for being eligible for the final round. The commission releases the final result in the form of a merit list. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official website after the declaration of the result.
