GATE CS 2020
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
(GATE) is a national level exam conducted annually by IISc Bangalore and 7 IITs
(Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Guwahati and Roorkee) on a
rotational basis and this year will be supervised by IIT Delhi for admission to
M.Tech/ Ph.D. and other Government Scholarships in the area of engineering and
technology.
The GATE 2020 exam will be conducted in
February 2020. GATE exam also leads to recruitment in Public Sector
Undertakings (PSUs), Group A level posts in Central Government and some other Government of India Organizations.

GATE CS 2020 Application Form
The Online Application form for GATE CS
2020 will be available in between February and March 2020.
Aspirants can fill the GATE application
form which will be available on their official website GOAPS (Gate Online
Application Processing System). An aspirant has to follow the mentioned steps
for the completion of the procedure :
Register and create an aspirant’s login on
the official website by providing the details such as email-id, phone number
and create a password to register.
Fill
up the application form and upload the necessary documents such as
scanned photograph and signature in JPEG format.
Aspirants must pay the application fee as
mentioned either in the online mode such as Debit/Credit Cards or offline mode
through E-challan.
The application fee for female, SC/ST
candidates is Rs. 750 while Rs. 1500 for other candidates.
GATE 2020 Admit Card
GATE CS 2020 Admit card is the only the document that will allow the entry of the candidates to the examination center.
GATE CS Admit Card will be released online on the official website in January
2020. Candidates will also be notified about the release of admit card through
Email or SMS. Candidates need to open the link and download their admit card by
entering the login credentials. Check and ensure all the details mentioned on
the admit card are correct.
GATE CS 2020 Exam Pattern
GATE CS 2020 Exam is a computer based
examination (CBT). The exam will be conducted in February 2020.
The exam consists of Multiple Choice and
Numerical Answer Type questions which candidates need to answer in the total
duration of 3 hours. The medium of exam is only English. Marking scheme is framed
as 1 mark for each correct answer and 1/3 marks deducted for each incorrect
answer.

GATE CS 2020 Result
GATE CS 2020 result will be
released and can be checked through GOAPS, their official website by log in
using their login credentials such as registration number, Email ID and
password. Candidates who qualify the GATE exam will only download their
scorecard which is valid for three years from March 2020.
GATE CS 2020 Cut-off
GATE Cutoff is the minimum
marks that a candidate must obtain to qualify the GATE exam.
The cutoff for GATE exam is
announced stream-wise and alter according to the candidate’s division.
Seize the fact that GATE
Cutoff for PSUs will be unlike in nature and will be released independently for
each GATE Participating PSU.
Based on this cutoff, GATE
Participating Institutes will publish their merit list for M.E./ M.Tech.
admissions in 2019.
GATE qualified candidates
will also be eligible for Government offered scholarships, stipends and
allowances.

GATE CS 2020 Counselling
Admission in IITs is
completed through COAP (Common offer Acceptance Portal) while in NITs, it is
through CCMT. Candidate has to apply to the COAP or CCMT based on the college
for which admission is desired and also enrolled in the respective institute in
order to be considered for admission. The result of seat allotment is announced
on CCMT and COAP portal. Various IITs may also conduct a
written test or interview according to the department they are applying to.
