Personnel Selection (IBPS) for the recruitment of Specialist Officers (SO)
conducts IBPS SO exam in various public sector banks in India for various posts
like that of Agriculture Field Officer, Marketing Officer (Scale I), IT Officer
Scale I, HR/Personnel Officer, Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari Scale I.
The examination for IBPS is
conducted in online mode, which has two stages namely IBPS SO Preliminary Exam
and IBPS SO Mains Exam followed by an interview round. The Preliminary exam for
IBPS SO 2020 is expected to be conducted in December 2020 while the Mains exam
will be conducted in January 2021. There is a single application form for all
the stages of IBPS SO 2020 exam for which the online registration window will
open in November 2020.
Students who qualify the
prelims exam will appear for the mains exam. After which the qualified
candidates will be called for a personal interview round which would carry 100
marks. The final selection of the candidate will be based on the performance in
the mains and the interview round.

IBPS SO 2020 Application Form
Step 1: Registration –
Candidate must click on the official link or the website
and then register by filling
in basic details and valid email id and mobile number. It will generate a
provisional registration number and password. The same will also be sent to the
registered mail id.
Step 2: Filling Details and
Upload Documents -Candidates are required to fill in all the requisite details given in the application form, upload their photograph and signature and documents as per the
specifications
Step 3: Fee Payment –
Candidates must pay the application fee as mentioned in the online mode such as
Debit / Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
On successful completion of
these steps, an e-receipt for fee payment will be generated which must be
printed along with the application form.
The application fee for
general as well as OBC category is Rs. 600 while that for SC/ ST / PWD
candidates it is Rs. 100.
IBPS SO 2020 Admit Card
The Admit Cards for
different rounds of IBPS SO exam will be issued to the candidates in online
mode only. The information about the release will also be intimated to the
candidates via Email or SMS. Candidates can easily download their IBPS SO hall
ticket by entering the login credentials. The call letter will mention the exam
schedule, venue along with the candidate’s personal detail. A candidate must
carry the IBPS SO admit card along with a valid photo- id proof to the exam
center without which they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
IBPS SO 2020 Exam Pattern
The IBPS SO 2020 is a
computer-based examination (CBT).
The IBPS SO 2020 exam
pattern for selecting candidates for Rajsabha Adhikari Scale I and Law Officer
is the same.
The IBPS SO Prelims exam
consists of objective type questions which need to be attempted in 2 hours by
the candidates. The medium of the exam is
English and Hindi.

Mains Exam
Candidates qualifying the
Cut Off score in the Prelims exam as specified by IBPS will proceed to the
Mains Exam. The IBPS SO Mains exam will have only one section i.e. of Professional
Knowledge.

IBPS SO 2020 Result
The result of IBPS SO 2020
will be declared separately for each stage. The candidates successfully meeting
the prelims cut off will appear for the mains exam. Thereafter the selected
candidates will appear in the interview round. The final marks are calculated
on the basis of marks scored in mains and interview round in the ratio of
80:20. Candidates can download the score card of every stage by entering their
login credentials.
