SSC AFCAT 2020
Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) organized by the
Indian Air Force (IAF) is for the recruitment of Commissioned Officers in
Flying & Ground Duties (Technical & Non-technical branches) of Indian
Air Force. The examination of AFCAT is conducted in online mode and two times
in a year, i.e. February (AFCAT 2020 I) and September(AFCAT 2020 II).
There is a single application form for the SSC AFCAT
2020 exam for which the online registration window will open in 1st week of
December 2019.
Students who qualify the online exam will be then called for the recruitment process. They have to meet
the minimum cut-off marks to proceed for the next step. After that, selected
candidates will be called at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSB). The
AFSB centers are located in Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar and Varanasi. Candidates
should be physically sound when they report for the AFSB.

Candidates below 25 years age should be
unmarried at the time of commencement of course. Married candidates above 25
years age are eligible to apply.

Age Limit for Flying Branch
|
20 to 24 years as on 1st
January 2021. Candidates must have born between 2nd January 1997 to 1st
January 2021
Upper age limit for
candidates having valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA
(India) is relaxed up to 26 years.
Qualification: 3 year graduation degree in any discipline with 60%
marks.
BE or B. Tech degree with 60% marks
Candidates must
have passed in Mathematics & Physics with 60% marks in each subject at
10+2 level.

Age Limit for Ground Duty Branch
|
Candidates DoB should be
in between 2nd January 1995 to 1st January 2021.
Qualification: Aeronautical Engineer –
Four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in
Engineering/ Technology with 60% marks in physics & mathematics subjects
at 12th
Administration&
Logistics – Three year graduation degree with 60% marks.
Accounts – B.Com degree
with 60% marks or equivalent.
Education – MBA, MCA or
MA/ MSc degree in English, Defence Studies, Psychology, Physics, Mathematics,
Chemistry, Statistics, International relations, International Studies,
Computer Science, IT, Management, Mass Communication etc. with 50% marks.

Physical & Medical
|
Candidates must be
physically fit in line with the officially prescribed physical standards.
They have to qualify the
medical examination conducted at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM, Bengaluru.

SSC AFCAT 2020
The Online Application Form for SSC AFCAT 2020 will be available from the first week of December 2019.
Step 1: Registration – Candidate must register them by filling in
basic details and valid email id and mobile number. It will generate a
provisional registration number and password. The same will also be sent to the
registered mail id.
Step 2: Filling Details and Upload Documents -Candidates are required
to fill in all the requisite details, upload their photograph, signature,
documents and thumb impression in JPG or JPEG format (file size – 10 to 50KB)
or as per the specifications.
Step 3: Fee Payment – Candidates must pay the application fee as
mentioned in the online mode such as Debit / Credit Cards, Internet Banking.
Candidates can make the fee payment only through the online mode. It is
non-refundable.
On successful completion of these steps, an e-receipt for fee payment
will be generated which must be printed along with the application form.
The application fee will be Rs. 250/- for all candidates.
SSC AFCAT Admit Card 2020
The Admit Cards for SSC AFCAT exam will be issued to the candidates in
online mode only. The information about the release will also be intimated to
the candidates via Email or SMS. Candidates can easily download their SSC AFCAT
admit card by entering the login credentials. The hall ticket will mention the
exam schedule, venue along with the candidate’s personal details. A candidate
must carry the SSC AFCAT admit card along with a valid photo- id proof,
passport size photograph, and ballpoint pen on exam day to the exam center past which candidates will
not be allowed to take the exam.

SSC AFCAT Exam Pattern 2020
SSC AFCAT 2020 is a computer-based examination (CBT)
The exam is conducted in an online mode which consists of
objective type questions which need to be completed in 2 hours by the
candidates. The medium of exam is both English and Hindi. 3 marks for each correct
answer and -1 negative marking for each incorrect answer.

SSC AFCAT Result 2020
The result will be announced in the month of March (for AFCAT 1) and
October (for AFCAT 2). Students can check AFCAT result 2020 via online mode.
Candidates are required to enter their Email ID and password to check the
result. After the online test, candidates will be invited for AFSB rounds.
